I’m Jackson King, a techno DJ and student at NYU Tandon with a deep passion for audio-visual design. My journey into sound began when I moved to New York City and discovered the pulse of techno — a genre that became more than music for me: it’s a movement, a refuge for the restless, and a space where overlooked voices can be heard.

I’ve been running a techno event series, CAVE RAVE, in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past two years. I challenge norms by spotlighting underrepresented artists and experimenting with genre-bending lineups. These events have become some of the city’s most talked-about nights, earning recognition in The San Francisco Standard, Resident Advisor, and as an RA Pick. My work goes beyond the booth — I focus on creating safer, more inclusive dance floors by rethinking crowd flow, collaborating with harm reduction groups, and curating spaces where marginalized communities feel welcome.

I strive to craft a sonic and visual identity that blurs the line between music and immersive art. I use visual storytelling, unconventional stage design, and unexpected soundscapes to provoke, challenge, and connect. For me, nightlife isn’t just an escape — it’s a chance to amplify fresh voices, take artistic risks, and transform the dance floor into a space of daring, authentic expression.
